Item Description

A showy, rich and rare old-timer from the famous Wheatley mine. The mine was started in 1851 and closed in the 1860s during the Civil War! Truly old-time material. Sparkly, translucent, sharp wulfenite prisms to 2 mm are festooned on the sturdy gossan matrix. Specimens of this richness and quality are seldom available. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. A must for the locality or species collector.
