Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of Wulfenite from the famous Příbram District (possibly from the Lill Mine) in the Czech Republic. This miniature sized specimen features a unusually prismatic, dark silvery-golden colored Wulfenite crystal measuring 8 mm sitting atop oxidized matrix. I've seen very few Wulfenite crystals from this area, and the crystal on this piece is larger than anything we've had to offer in the auctions. If you collect worldwide Wulfenites, or old classics from Europe, do NOT pass this one up, as you may never get another chance to get one with a crystal this size. From the collection of Robert (Bob) Reynolds (#RR0988) who passed in August of 2020. Bob was a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of Earth Sciences at the San Bernardino County Museum in California. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011.
