Wulfenite (rare locality specimen)

Item Description

This is a very hard to find specimen of Wulfenite from the lesser-known Khusib Springs Mine, in northern Namibia. We've only seen a handful of these over the 20+ years, and if you collect worldwide Wulfenites or minerals from Namibia, I'll be you don't have one of these in your collection. This piece is filled with narrow prismatic (bi-pyramidal) crystals of a smoky-golden color measuring up to 1.2 cm, sitting on massive grey Tennantite matrix. Some of the crystals are broken on the upper edge, but overall the piece is in good condition. Don't miss out on this fairly contemporary, yet elusive piece from a locality that mindat.org says was commissioned in 1996 to replace Tsumeb.
