Item Description

Bright yellow wulfenite is RARE from the famed extinct Tsumeb Mine. Very glassy and lustrous, transparent to translucent prisms richly and attractively cover the sculptural miniature matrix. The striking, dominating large compound crystal is 1.8 cm. Most wulfenites from Tsumeb are yellow-orange to butterscotch to shades of brown. The scattered minor bruising is certainly minimally detracting to this rare color Tsumeb wulfenite. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and former Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. He passed away in 2020. The rare phyllomanganate-chromate species Reynoldsite was named in his honor in 2011. Rare beautiful yellow and rich Tsumeb wulfenite.
