Item Description

Orange wulfenite prisms to 3 mm are nicely clustered on the quartz matrix on this classic, old-timer from the Manhan Mine of Massachusetts. This sculptural specimen also hosts pastel-green, pyromorphite crusts on the front and euhedral galena crystals on the back of the quartz. This ancient US mine opened in 1680 and was worked intermittently until 1866, when it closed. Ex Harvard Museum. This is a highly representative and seldom available combination specimen from this historic locale.
