Item Description
An excellent specimen with lustrous, pseudocubic, butterscotch-colored wulfenite crystals richly covering the mounded gossan matrix and from a recent find at the famous Mina Ojuela at Mapimi, Mexico. The very blocky crystals reach 5 mm. This fine piece is pristine and there are even a few tiny, accenting green mimetite botryoids. This is a NEW FIND, from just before the 2008 Denver Show, where we debuted the lot. We got most of the lot. This is an excellent representation of this new find, not a cast-off, and we want to have our auction customers to have an opportunity to obtain a fine piece from the second major Mexican wulfenite find, since the San Francisco wulfies in the mid-90s. The exact mine location is Level 6, San Juan Poniente vein.
