Item Description
Wulfenite is a favorite among Tsumeb collectors as occurs in various colors, sometimes with water clear crystals that show wonderful internal brilliance. Most Wulfenite is tabular from Tsumeb, like the majority of worlwide Wulfenites, but there's something about the Tsumeb pieces that makes them so distinctive and desirable. This piece features a few excllent, sharp, lustrous, GEM / gemmy, soft golden color tabular crystals of Wulfenite with notable internal "phantoms" measuring up to 1.3 cm sitting aesthetically on pearly off-white curved rhombs of Dolomite matrix. Impressively, the main Wulfenite crystals appear to be damage free!, with no real chips or nicks that I can see even with magnification, and KEEP IN MIND that it's extremely difficult to find absolutely pristine Wulfenites from this locality. When you consider the color and the clarity of the crystals against most Wulfenites from around the world, this is a real treasure for collectors. Additionally, the crystals aren't sitting on some kind of oxidized crumbling matrix, but very desirable sturdy Dolomite, which makes a difference in my mind.
