Wulfenite on Mimetite (1970s)

Perched aesthetically on a bit of ocherous limonite matrix are "window-pane," rarities! These are glassy and translucent, vivid orange crystals of wulfenite, to 3 cm across. In addition, there are tiny orange mimetite spheres strategically placed on and around the wulfenite crystals. A bright and fine San francisco Mine wulfenite from a classic find of the 1970s, very discernible in style and desired by collectors. NOTE that there is some moderate damage to this piece, as with so many of thesefragile old beauties. Two of the large display crystals show cleavage that is barely noticeable in front but is seen in back, and other minor damage exists. However, you have to LOOK to see it, and it is more or less par for the course on these. Hand delivery only, is possible on this win (we usually can find a way - please inquire).
