Item Description

An uncommon association from the famous 79 Mine featuring small, sharp, bright orange colored tabular crystals of Wulfenite measuring up to 3 mm sitting on beautifully contrasting blue botryoidal Hemimorphite on gossan matrix. We've seen Wulfenite on Hemimorphite from this locality before, but the strong BLUE color is what matters here, as most of the Hemimorphites associated with Wulfenite are colorless. A cool association specimen from this classic locale. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1964). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
