Wulfenite on Dolomite vug (Dr. Eugene Sensel Coll.)

Item Description

Lustrous, translucent rich yellow tabular wulfenite prisms, to 1.0 cm, dramatically and richly fill a RARE oval combination vug from this noted district. The interior hosts rare off-white barite and the vug, itself, is composed of oxide-tinted, saddle-shaped dolomite rhombs, as the back reveals. The beautiful striking "diadem" crystal at the top of the piece is 8 mm on edge. Choice, aesthetic, rich and RARE style combination material from the Dr. Eugene Sensel Collection. Acquired from Victor Yount in July, 1983. Recently in a lead species collection.
