Wulfenite on Dolomite (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, butterscotch-yellow, wulfenite prisms to 1.2 cm are richly and aesthetically clustered on the flesh-pink dolomite rhomb matrix. Gentle bruising to a few wulfies is noted, no broken crystals, which is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy and excellent combination plate from this noted locale. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and formerly in the Bob Gorges Collection, according to Bob's label. These came out in the 1970s and 80s, with very few since. The piece displays well from either side.
