Item Description

This is quite possibly the ONLY specimen I've seen from the Sanda Mine featuring Wulfenite ON Dioptase! This attractive thumbnail specimen features a gorgeous, translucent, tabular, bright orange Wulfenite crystal measuring 7 mm sitting on starkly contrasting emerald green Dioptase crystals free of matrix. This combo is not easy to find from any locality in the Mindouli District, and this piece is and older specimen dating back around 20+ years. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12716). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
