Wulfenite on Cobaltoan Dolomite

Item Description

Glassy, highly lustrous, transparent to translucent, butterscotch wulfenite crystals to 1.4 cm are nicely clustered on the wedge of pink cobaltoan dolomite matrix on this showy and excellent Tsumeb combination specimen. The crystals have sharp beveled edges. A bit of bruising and periphery wear is noted, but this remains a rich and highly representative example of this desirable Tsumeb species. It is hard to get such a displayable miniature, with large wulfenite, for this particular old locality. Valued $400
