Item Description

Gemmy and lustrous, reddish-orange wulfenite crystals to 9 mm are richly and aesthetically strewn on the CABINET matrix plate covered with scintillating, sparkly, water-clear, calcite rhombs on this very fine larger piece from the last hurrah of the famous and now-closed Red Cloud Mine. The wulfies have beautifully sharp beveled edges and the oxide-covered matrix is a nice compliment to the wulfenites and calcites. Very nearly pristine, with only one gently bruised wulfie, for such rich coverage. Not the largest crystals, but the overall impact of the numerous, well-scattered crystals makes for an outstanding specimen. Expertly prepared, with a sawed back and chiseled edges to enhance the display quality. Get a very good and very rich larger piece while you can. Fairly valued at $2000 and worth it. Found in March of 2003
