Wulfenite on Calcite

Item Description

Pure Potential Mine is located near enough to the Red Cloud to be often confused with its more famous and more productive neighboring mine, but is actually distinct. The PP is noted for producing, rarely, wulfenite of a shockingly highly saturated color, more red than the material from the Red Cloud (which, let's face it, is orange-red in comparison). This specimen is an unusual matrix of lightweight calcite, forming a pedestal for this sharp 1.5 cm crystal of juicy red color. There is some edge damage to the crystal when you look closely (shown in closeups), but it is still gorgeous and from a distance, you do not see the dings anyways.
