Item Description

Classic, OLD-TIME wulfenite from the famous Red Cloud Mine. Very glassy, highly lustrous, transparent to translucent, rich reddish-orange prisms embedded in matrix comprise this very fine thumbnail. The compound crystals reach 2.5 cm. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 886 and acquired from The Bradley's in the 1950s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Choice and excellent old-time Red Cloud wulfenite.
