Fantastically sculptural wulfenite crystal "plates" are dramatically intergrown on this very fine old-timer from the famous Erupcion Mine at Los Lamentos. The two impressive large crystals are 3.5 cm each. The highly lustrous "sandwich-style" edge faces compliment the shimmering yellow-green to coated prism faces. The coatings are arsentian vanadinite (endlichite). Complete all-around this surreal 360-degree specimen is essentially pristine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 3481 and acquired from Shale's in the mid-1960s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
