Item Description
This is a very old piece, probably from the turn of the 1900s era mining for silver in New Mexico, and specimens are rarely seen today! They tend to be dusty and dull, a rather unremarkable butterscotch color, but this one is lustrous, translucent, and lively with strong color. In fact, for color, it is among the best color possible, even if crystals are smaller than some others. The crystals reach 7 mm, and most are intact although a few are damaged. From the southwest-focused Gary Weaver collection, with a value on his label of $600.
