Item Description
An extremely aesthetic and eye-catching toenail specimen with great red-orange color, excellent sharpness and superb luster. You can see the combination of a layered composite crystal which is growing on top of a "stop sign"-shaped crystal on gossan matrix. Virtually undamaged as far as the main crystals are concerned, and that "stop sign" habit is rare from the world famous Red Cloud Mine. This piece was collected in 1967 by Leigh Price on the 150 Level of the mine. That particular discovery produced some of the finest gem "window pane" habit crytals ever seen from the Red Cloud. Valued at $750 for quality, uniqueness and the fact that it's nearly 50 years old.
