Wulfenite (large plate!)

A STRIKING, HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE, LARGE CABINET plate FESTOONED with lustrous, carmel-colored wulfenite crystals to 1.0 cm from the famous Los Lamentos, Mexico. This sculptural piece is on the HIGHLY DESIRABLE, snow-white matrix. The overall aesthetics of this super piece are very minimally impacted by two small areas of brusing, but as you can see its of little import on such a large, museum-sized speicmen. Displays well from several views. Part of the back has been sawed to enhance the display angle, note. I traded this from a private collection recently, and am just sacrificing it here for cash flow even though it wont reach at auction near what I believe it to be worth: VERY Fairly valued at $2500 for size, quality and color. These were found mostly in the 1950s and 1960s, and good large specimens are hard to come by now
