Item Description

Lustrous, glassy, rich yellow-orange wulfenite windowpanes richly and attractively cover the crest of the elongated gossan matrix on this showy thumbnail specimen from the famous Rowley Mine of Arizona. A few clusters of tiny yellow mimetite balls are noted, making this a classic combination piece from the Rowley. This is a rich and fairly distinctive color of wulfenite from this highly desirable, but far less common wulfenite locality from Arizona. Highly representative of the species and locale, even with a few gently bruised crystals. Ex Jaime Bird Collection and dates to the 1960s or 70s, or earlier.
