Wulfenite GEM crystal - old locale

Superb, 2 cm windowpane Wulfenite from the Total Wreck Mine..the photo speaks for itself! This beauty has everything you could want in this particular habit. It is gemmy and glassy, has beveled edges, and the color is a lovely yellow-orange. On top of that, the crystal is actually zoned! You rarely see that, and it definitely adds to the allure and intrigue of this miniature. This is stunning, teh closer you look at it! It is so perfect, it looks carved! This obscure locality was worked intermittently from the 1880s to 1940. These gorgeous Wulfenites are rare, old-time material, and to be honest, I'd be a total wreck, too, if I was trying to get them out of the ground safely. This was recently deaccessed from the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums.
