Item Description

A beautiful small cabinet specimen featuring beautiful, glowing bright orange, sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy tabular crystals of Wulfenite on matrix. This is a classic Wulfenite from Tiger, with some of the brightest orange color crystals you'll see from any locality. The piece does have some broken crystals, but in its defense, rarely are Wulfenite specimens of this size from Tiger damage free. The largest crystal measures 1.0 cm. These are highly sought after on the market, and any specimen larger than a miniature is considered to be difficult to find. One does not often see such a rich concentration of Wulfenites from Tiger, and I can't stress how beautiful the color is in person. A very attractive overall specimen of this desirable and hard to find material. Keep in mind that this mine closed in 1953, so the specimen is a minimum of 60+ years old. Ex Stuart F. Wise Collection, valued at $1600.
