Item Description
Red Cloud Wulfenites are among the finest examples of the species in the world. This piece is from an older find, probably dating back around 50 years+. This specimen features a cluster of sharp, lustrous, brilliant reddish-orange colored tabular Wulfenite crystals measuring up to 9 mm on minor oxidized matrix. This is not your typical Red Cloud as the four main crystals have formed what resembles a "four leaf clover"-esque shape, which is quite attractive and certainly unusual for the species and the locality. I can see a few minor spots of damage, but the piece is in great shape overall, and the unique growth of the crystals makes it all the more enticing! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#5485). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
