Item Description

Wulfenite specimens from Tsumeb are some of the best and most well-known examples ever found. They are rather distinctive and don't typically resemble Wulfenites from other world localities. This showy and aesthetic miniature specimen features several very lustrous, sharp, well-formed, good sized tabular crystals of a gentle smoky golden hue measuring up to 1.3 cm on edge, aesthetically flaring off matrix. Most of the crystals are in very good shape, but there is one contact on the outer edge of one of the smaller crystals, so the piece is not 100% damage-free. Still a very attractive old-time piece of these beloved classics from what most people consider to the be world's greatest locality. The piece comes with a couple old dealer labels, including one from Walt Lidstrom, one of the premier mineral dealers of his day.
