Here we have a fine, showy small cabinet size specimen of the world famous Red Cloud Wulfenites featuring sharp, glowing orange-red color, highly lustrous, tabular crystals of flaring off contrasting brown host rock matrix. The largest Wulfenite crystal measures 1.6 cm on edge. Most of the crystals are in excellent condition, though one of them has a contacted edge - par for the course for the vast majority of Red Cloud Wulfenites. Keep in mind that it's very difficult to preserve specimens of this such as this due to the fragile nature of the material. A fine specimen from one of the single most important localities in the Western United States. This piece was mined a little over 20 years ago when Collector's Edge was running the mine for specimen recovery. These specimens are commanding a premium nowadays. The former dealer label valued the piece at $2,000.
