A very aesthetic, old-time wulfenite thumbnail from the famous Erupcion Mine. A striking, 2.0 cm, doubly terminated, tabular, lustrous, "sandwich style", caramel-colored wulfenite prism is dramatically set with a smaller wulfie on the calcite rhomb matrix, that also has tiny quartz points. Quartz is RARE from here. Classic and rare old material from the Willard Perkin collection or dealer stock (note the label on his TN box). He is generally credited as the inventor of the "Perky box" for standard thumbnails display. Ex Warren Bieber Collection, a California mineral collector, who passed away in 1968. This excellent piece dates to the 1950s or 60s or even earlier.
