Item Description
Wulfenites from the famous Hilltop Mine of Arizona are highly desirable, but have never been common. LARGE CABINET specimens, such as this, are especially rare! Translucent, moderately lustrous, butterscotch-colored, wulfenite crystals to 1.0 cm are richly scattered on the quartz-rich matrix. The wulfenites have sharp, beveled edges. CLASSIC, old-time material from the Mullane Collection. Most specimens came out in the 1890s to World War I era with only a trickle after. This is certainly the classic style, presumably then from the 1900 era. And it is a CABINET piece! Value today for such a large specimen should be $1000-1200
