Item Description
Rich caramel-colored, glassy, highly lustrous, translucent, tabular wulfenite prisms are festooned on the sculptural large matrix on this very showy and colorful specimen from the famous Erupcion Mine at Los Lamentos. The crystals, to 9 mm, are the interesting "sandwich-style" with darker centers. In good shape overall, with just a bit of scattered bruising for all the crystal density. See the 2003 Mineralogical Record article in Mexico Special Issue III, Vol. 34, No. 6. Older material, wulfenite of this variety came out in the 1960s to 1980s.
