Wulfenite (classic locale)

Item Description

Wulfenite is one of the many signature species from the famed extinct Tsumeb Mine. A stout, tapered, 2.7 x 2.2 x 1.2 cm, multi-hued, lustrous, translucent crystal is jauntily set upright on the contrasting sulfide matrix accented with contrasting dolomite rhombs. Reddish-orange, golden-yellow, golden-brown and brown hues make for a colorful crystal. The stepped-growth faces and two clefts along the tapered termination edge really enhance the piece. A modest bit of bruising along the tapered termination edge and ends are noted, but are certainly only a modest detraction to this uncommonly-tapered wulfenite style from the fabled locale.
