Wulfenite (classic locale)

Item Description

Mirror luster, butterscotch-colored, wulfenite blades are aesthetically piled up on the mounded matrix partially covered with calcite on this classic specimen from the famous Ahumada Mine. The paper-thin blades are water-clear, while the thicker blades are translucent. This showy and excellent piece was part of the Tucson Show Mineralogical Record benefit auction in 1980.
