Item Description

Classic and excellent Old Yuma Mine wulfenite from the Kay Robertson Collection # 644. Glassy, gemmy/translucent, yellow-orange prisms, to 2.1 cm, with sharp tapered stepped-growth edges are aesthetically intergrown on this super thumbnail. Nearly pristine, with just a bit of modest bruising and periphery wear. Old-time material, as Kay acquired this lovely piece in the 1950s from Scott Williams. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
