Item Description
Bright orange, lustrous wulfenite blades, to 1.9 cm, cover the sculptural dense boxwork from famed Tiger. A few bruised and broken crystals are noted, but are certainly acceptable in the context of the richness and exceptional quality of this classic piece. The mine closed in 1953. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 2191 and acquired from Ralph Muller in February, 1962. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). SELDOM on the market today in this richness and quality. Fairly valued at $2000. A MUST for the Arizona or species collector.
