Classic, rich and RARE small cabinet combination from the well-known 1970s finds at the famous San Francisco Mine. Beautiful, highly desirable glassy, yellow Wulfenite window panes, to 1.1 cm, with beveled edges are aesthetically scattered on the undulating matrix festooned with classic for the locale, orange and yellow Mimetite botryoidal. A RARE and excellent accessory from the 1970s finds is the well-placed 1.0 cm glassy, white, tabular barite crystal at the top. The San Francisco Mine is certainly among the world's most prolific and important wulfenite localities, dramatically enhanced by various colors of mimetite. We feel very lucky to have picked up the large collection of Bill and Anne Cook of Cleveland, recently. It is a tribute to their long efforts, how many interesting minerals and old localities were preserved and carefully labelled so you can see them now. This piece does not have a Cook label. Bill and Anne collected for at least 60 years. An excellent, classic, rich and RARE old-time combination from the famed locale.
