Item Description

Wulfenite and mimetite specimens from the famous San Francisco Mine are a Mexican classic. Transparent to translucent, glassy, golden-yellow, windowpane wulfenite crystals to 1.8 cm are richly and aesthetically strewn on both sides of the mounded matrix. This piece has very interesting mimetite chemistry as botryoids on the front are orange, while the mimetite botryoids on the back are yellow. The specimen is in great shape for such rich coverage, with only a few gently bruised crystals. Excellent combination material from this noted locale. Ex Chris Korpi Collection.
