Item Description

The Finch Mine, often referred to as the Barking Spider Mine, is famous for its Wulfenite and Quartz combinations. As best I can tell, the botryoidal grey-blue Chalcedony came first in the pockets, with the blades of Wulfenite growing just as the Chalcedony finished up with some overlap of Chalcedony on Wulfenite. The Wulfenites, which range up to around 6 mm, have intense orange color through the sparkling frosty Chalcedony drapery on top of them. These combos are extremely aesthetic, and highly sought after. For added interest, the Chalcedony fluoresces a mustard yellow in short wave UV. Unusual and rare, these are seldom seen on the market today
