Item Description
Onderra Wulfenites are well known for their yellow color and pillow-shaped habit (similar to the great Wulfenites of Tsumeb). Here we have a cluster of deep yellow Wulfies, up to 1 cm on edge, intergrown on a large grey Cerussite crystal. The Wulfenites have a matte luster, and are also in combination with lustrous, gemmy Dioptase crystals up to .4 cm and acicular to massive Malachite. Visually, the mix of the colors is very eye-catching, and the mineral combination itself is quite unusual. There is some contacting on the back and off to the left side, but the primary viewing angle is good. Considering all the positive qualities of this piece, it really is quite exceptional.
