Wulfenite

The Old Yuma Mine dates back to the early 1910s, and while it is best known for fine red Vanadinite specimens, it also produced some beautiful orange Wulfenites over the years. This FANTASTIC miniature is captivating, with bladed Wulfenites up to 1.7 cm literally dancing along the matrix. There is remarkably little wear to the Wulfenites, so I will just let the pics tell you all you need to know about the aesthetics and allure of this piece - it is gorgeous, colorful, and balanced! The trick is to decide how to display it. This was recently deaccessed from the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums.
