Item Description

The Old Yuma Mine dates back to the early 1910s, and while it's best known for fine red Vanadinite specimens, it also produced some beautiful orange Wulfenites over the years. This piece features a group of classic, sharp, well-formed, glassy, yellow-orange Wulfenite crystals. The largest crystal measures 2.0 cm on edge. It's in surprisingly good condition with only a few contact on the lower right side and a small one on the upper left side. The aspect that sets this piece apart from others I've seen from the locality is that it features multiple crystals in a somewhat "flower"-shape, and is not just a loose single. Crystals of this fine quality were collected in the 1960s and 1970s. A show large thumbnail specimen from this historic mine outside of Tucson. Priced at $875 in the inventory.
