Item Description

A beautiful group of sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, rich orange-red, tabular Wulfenite crystals intergrown to create this eye-catching specimen. The crystals are in great shape, and the specimen is virtually undamaged and nearly a "floater". The color of these crystals is great, and of crystals is strangely much gemmier than the others, puls there are some electric internal reflections that can be seen when the piece is rotated in the light. A great specimen from one of the single most important localities in the Western United States. Considering that this locality has been completely buried and never will be mined again, these specimens are commanding a premium nowadays. This piece came from one of the few parts of the Red Cloud mine that produced the highly sought after gem "window pane" habit crystals. Valued at $700 retail.
