Item Description

From the 1993 Wayne Thompson finds here: Aesthetically emplaced on an ocherous gossan matrix are several robust, lustrous and translucent crystals of wulfenite, to 1.5 cm across. The crystals exhibit a rich red-orange color overall, with a brown center (due to included particulate matter in the solution from which they formed). For such slender crystals, there is a wonderful absence of damage. A choice matrix specimen from the active re-mining period in the early 1990s, valued $1000-1500
