Item Description

An excellent wulfenite thumbnail from the famous Red Cloud Mine and the Jaime Bird Collection. The gemmy and glassy, highly lustrous, reddish-orange compound crystal has fabulous, razor-sharp, beveled edges and is aesthetically set on a bit of matrix. Both sides looks great and the bit of periphery wear on one lower edge is certainly a modest detraction to this fine older piece, that dates to the 1960s or early 70s finds. Jaime worked for Hamel Mining and got good rocks for his thumbnail collection. This is certainly one of them.
