Item Description
The Wulfenites from Mežica, Slovenia are iconic old time examples of the species. For reference, Mežica was formerly called Mies when it was part of Yugoslavia, and you will see this name appear on many old labels. These specimens are possibly the most famous mineral specimens from any Slovenian locality. This specimen host wonderful, sharp, lustrous tabular crystals of Wulfenite measuring up to 1.1 cm on edge, with a soft orange / butterscotch hue, and distinctive form around the edges. Minimal roughness, but good quality overall. Hard to find on the market now, and beloved by collectors.
