Wulfenite

This attractive Wulfenite cluster from Tsumeb is composed of dozens of orange-yellow tabular crystals in an arcuate arrangement. It's an unusual Tsumeb Wulfenite in that it has so many good crystals on one specimen and they are spread out over the the entire length of the piece! The butterscotch colored crystals have very good luster and range in size from 2 mm to 1.3 cm; and are perfectly square in outline, tabular with beveled edges. They are loosely clustered to mostly isolated on the piece several of the larger ones around the periphery stand right up off the matrix. The bottom of the piece shows the red-brown, matrix where the piece was removed from the pocket. A very attractive Tsumeb Wulfenite small cabinet piece! At first glance, it is so rich and colorful that you would think it is from Toussit in Morocco, but it is a Tsumeb piece, and more significant for that fact.
