Wulfenite

A beautiful, bright yellow cluster of lustrous, translucent Wulfenite crystals dominate this gorgeous miniature from the famous Touissit area of Morocco. The Wulfenite crystals have excellent beveled edges, good luster and sharp form. A dozen crystals make up this lovely cluster and there is good isolation to the Wulfenite crystals that range up to 1.7 cm in size. Their bright yellow color contrasts well with dark brown-red Hematite stained sliver of matrix on the piece which is white on the backside. All of the major crystals are intact with the exception of one corner missing on the larger crystal at the top. Wulfenites of this quality came out in the late 1970's to early 80s, as reflected in the (relatively) low collection number here.
