Item Description

Sparkly, glassy, light yellow pseudocubic rhombohedral woodhouseite crystals, to about 5 mm, are festooned on the blocky quartz rich matrix with scattered tiny quartz points from the famous and extinct Type Locality. Woodhouseite is a rare Ca-Al phosphate sulfate. The extinct andalusite mine (used for spark plugs and refractory materials) is famed for outstanding rutile and woodhouseite specimens and this is a rich and fine small cabinet.
