Item Description

Very sharp Woodhouseite crystals 3-4 mm sitting perfectly on the matrix, making this both a significantly rich and a beautiful specimen. The rhombs have superb definition, great luster, and sit so aesthetically in this one grouping. I have seldom seen such good examples of this species, named after the noted mineralogist Woodhouse. Woodhouseite is a rare sulfate/phosphate, and the Champion is the Type Locality, no less. The mine is now closed and defunct, and this material is nearly impossible to obtain.
