Item Description
A classic, old-time miniature specimen from Connecticut of wolframite after a sharp tetragonal scheelite crystal from Trumbull. The lustrous pseudo has sharp faces and termination and is preferentially coated with iron oxides. The base is contacted. These pseudomorphs are seldom available from the Old Park Mine. The old paper covered balsa wood box from A.E. Foote (circa 1900) is 5.4 x 4.1 x 1.4 cm and is certainly over 100-years old. A classic and excellent old antique.
