Item Description
Wolframite specimens of this sharpness and quality are RARE from this historic tin-copper mine, started in the 1590s! The sharp, lustrous, metallic dark gray thumbnail crystal has multiple termination faces, adding pizzazz. Complete all-around, with only a few trivial bruises. Certainly acceptable for such an old-timer. One end appears to be contacted, but certainly has only very minimal impact on the rarity and fine quality of this piece from the famous South Crofty Mine in Cornwall.
