Item Description
Two, jet-black, isolated Wodginite crystals contrast well on a Microcline-Quartz crystal matrix from one of the pegmatites in the Shengus area of Pakistan. The well-formed, prismatic crystals display their orthorhombic crystal form very well with sharp faces, edges and chisel-point terminations. They contrast well on the off-white Albite crystals that measure up to 6 cm. They are accompanied by several translucent, 1 to 2 cm Quartz crystals and a lttle Muscovite. Wodginite from pegmatites of Pakistan and Afghanistan has only been reported rarely. This is a rare pegmatite combination specimen. From the noted European and worldwide collection of Kurt Hefendehl
